Extra-CC Activities

  • Documented most of the system configurations and technologies on which I have worked on Trac Wiki (http://akshatcomputing.ml).
  • Actively participate for promotion of FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) like CentOS, Debian, Raspbian on Raspberry Pi, Diaspora (an alternative to social media platform based on FOSS principles), Moodle, git, trac, LaTeX, Emacs etc. and conduct workshops in schools and colleges on various computing topics across India.
  • An active volunteer of FOSS Community India which is a collective attempt to play its part in imparting computer literacy to one and all.
  • An active member of PLUG (Pune Linux User Group).
  • Actively involved in promoting OpenSource software and facilitating computer education in municipal Schools and other non-profit entities working for the upliftment of women and children who do not get access to computing because of financial stress.
  • An active volunteer during Science Day 2011 to 2019 at GMRT, Pune.
  • Successfully closed a Six Sigma Project at E-Durables (LGEIL OEM) on few Major problems.
  • Organized Identification Quiz in Sandhaan-2006 a national level technical event at BIET Jhansi.
  • An active volunteer during Indian Science Congress-2002.
  • Co-ordinated and Presented the Astronomy Exhibition of Indian Science Congress 2002 at University of Lucknow on COSMOS and Solar System.
